We are marking our 30th Anniversary with a 1986 menu

We are delighted to be marking our 30th anniversary as a hotel with a specially designed ‘1986’ lunch menu, running from Friday 18th – Thursday 24th March.

Hotel residents and visitors will be able to dine in our two AA rosette Oak Room Restaurant and enjoy a choice of dishes from the three-course menu for the special set price of £19.86, commemorating the year Tylney Hall first opened its doors to the public.

The 1986 menu has been designed by our Executive Head Chef Stephen Hine, a long-standing member of the Tylney Hall team who has been delighting guests with his dishes since the hotel opened and has helped us win numerous restaurant awards.

Tempting options on our menu include poached egg with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce, marinated rump of lamb with aubergine caponata and rosemary jus and caramelised apple cheesecake with Calvados ice cream.

While there has been a mansion house on the Tylney estate since 1561 and the first Tylney Hall was built in the 1700s, it only became a hotel in 1986 after many years as a society house, First World War hospital, Second World War base for Clan Line Steamers and from 1948 until 1984 a private school.

We are celebrating our 30th anniversary throughout 2016 and in addition to the 1986 menu promotion, we are looking for people to share their photographic memories with us from the past 30 years, by posting on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #Happy30thTylney
