We are coming up to our Spring Wedding Showcase on Sunday 10th April in our 30th year as a wedding venue and it has got us thinking about all the wonderful weddings we have helped organise for couples over the year.
- Since our opening in 1986 we have hosted over 1300 weddings!
- From large parties of 120 guests to intimate weddings of two, Tylney has proved the perfect venue for weddings of every size.
- In recent years our Italian Gardens have been the setting for gorgeous outdoor wedding ceremonies.
- We have helped organise some fantastic themed weddings, including a Medieval style banquet, at which all the guests wore fabulous period costumes.
- One of the quirkiest wedding details we loved was during a ceremony in our grand Tylney Suite, where an owl acted as the ring bearer, swooping down from the minstrel gallery to deliver the rings.
- We have watched wedding dress trends change over the past 30 years. From extravagant to elegant, in a range of different colours, all our brides have looked stunning!
- There isn’t a mode of transport we haven’t seen at our weddings. Brides have arrived by horse & carriage, vintage vehicles and by helicopter. We have even seen a groom parachute in and couples celebrate their special day with a fly pass.
